The Association for Multicultural Science Education (AMSE) proudly honors the legacy of Alice J. Moses, the first elected Black national president of the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA), with an annual breakfast held during the NSTA Conference. This special event celebrates her pioneering contributions to science education and her unwavering commitment to equity and inclusion. Her philosophy continues to reflect the heart of AMSE’s mission—to promote excellence in science teaching for students of all cultural backgrounds.
